Fans of Sean Paul have erupted in frustration after the Jamaican superstar reportedly kept the crowd waiting for hours at his Dublin concert, only to cut the performance short—leaving many demanding refunds.
The concert, held at 3Arena as part of his Bring It tour, was set to begin at 9 PM, but concertgoers say the “Temperature” hitmaker didn’t hit the stage until 10:30 PM. Even more disappointing for fans, the show allegedly wrapped up by 11:15 PM, meaning Sean Paul only performed for about 45 minutes.
“He was flying through the songs,” one fan told Irish Independent. “At one point, I looked at my friend and said, ‘Would he slow it down a bit?’ There were so many songs we didn’t get to hear.”
Support act Ashanti, according to several attendees, had a longer and more complete set than the headliner. Some fans even said they heard more of Sean Paul’s music at an official after-party than at the concert itself.
With ticket prices ranging from €60 to €95, fans were quick to air their grievances on X (formerly Twitter):
“Sean Paul and Ashanti in Dublin was the biggest sfest I’ve ever seen! Absolute joke of a concert!*”
“How do I get a refund for Sean Paul in Dublin last night? Shocking show.”
“Sean Paul was by far the worst concert I’ve ever been to—like €90 I’ll never get back.”
Others criticized the poor security arrangements and unsafe standing area, calling the entire night a “farce.”
So far, there has been no official response from Sean Paul’s team, Ticketmaster, or the 3Arenaregarding the backlash or refund demands.
For fans who paid to see one of dancehall’s biggest icons, the night turned from excitement to disappointment—and the calls for accountability are only getting louder.
