Global afrobeats superstar Rema has taken the lead as the most-streamed Nigerian artist on YouTube Music in the first quarter of 2025, racking up a staggering 223 million streams globally. The numbers, reported by The Debut Hub, reflect the singer’s continued dominance—fueled by his rich catalogue and evergreen global hit ‘Calm Down’, which recently made history by surpassing 1 billion streams on the platform.
Rema’s 2025 single ‘Baby (Is It A Crime)’ also proved to be a major fan favorite, coming in as the second most streamed Nigerian song of the year so far with 14 million views, just behind ‘Laho’, which also sits at 14 million views but continues to climb.
Burna Boy, Ayra Starr Close Behind
Burna Boy came in second with 171 million streams, riding high on the anticipation for his forthcoming 8th studio album ‘No Sign of Weakness’. Following closely is Ayra Starr with 169 million streams, boosted by her heartfelt new hit ‘All The Love’, which is also among the top streamed songs of 2025.

Davido placed fourth with 113 million streams, setting the stage for his soon-to-drop fifth album, ‘5ive’. Rounding out the top 5 is Wizkid, who clocked 102 million streams and recently dropped the video for ‘Kese (Dance)’ off his critically acclaimed album ‘Morayo’.
