Popular Nigerian rapper Jeremiah Chukwuebuka Ani, better known as Jeriq, has left fans surprised after revealing that he has never been in a romantic relationship. The Secure The Bag crooner, in a recent interview with Glich Africa, explained that he doesn’t believe women can genuinely love and stay loyal to one man.
Jeriq admitted that despite being 25 years old, he has yet to experience romantic love. “Since I was born, I have never been in a relationship,” he confessed. According to him, while he understands and values love among family and friends, he struggles to believe in romantic love between a man and a woman.
“I don’t believe that a girl can love and be loyal to only me. I don’t believe that it is possible. If I can see someone who will be loyal and honest with me, I will love her and reciprocate. But I know it’s not possible. So, I don’t believe in love. I’m still a small boy sha, so let’s watch,” Jeriq stated.
Despite his skepticism, the rapper did not entirely rule out the possibility of finding love someday, hinting that his stance could change if he ever meets a loyal partner.
His comments have since sparked mixed reactions online, with many debating whether loyalty and true love still exist in modern relationships.
