Rapper DDG has shocked fans with his latest statement, revealing that he’s considering moving to Lagos, Nigeria, following his ongoing struggles to see his son Halo.
The Pontiac-born rapper and Halle Bailey welcomed their son in December 2023, but their relationship ended last year. Despite appearing to co-parent amicably, DDG recently took to social media to complain that Bailey is allegedly barring him from seeing their child.
DDG’s Public Plea to See His Son
In a video posted over the weekend, DDG expressed frustration over the situation, saying:
“I just want to be able to see my son when I want to see my son, take my son when I want to take my son.”
He added that while he normally avoids sharing personal matters online, he felt compelled to speak out, believing that public pressure might help his case.
“I don’t like putting y’all in my business, but I don’t know what else to do. I know the internet moves people. I just want to see my son, that’s it. I love being a dad and I want to be a dad, plain and simple.”
DDG also fired back at critics, saying he doesn’t care how he looks as long as he gets to be in his child’s life.
“I don’t care if this makes me look childish, if I look like I’m on the internet crazy, whatever. I don’t care, bro. I don’t care what nobody thinks. I literally just want to be in my son’s life.”
DDG Drops a Song About His Co-Parenting Struggles
To further vent his frustrations, DDG released a song titled “Don’t Take My Son,” directly addressing the situation. The move sparked mixed reactions, with some fans supporting him while others accused him of using the issue for publicity.
DDG Wants to Move to Lagos
Amid the drama, DDG surprised fans again by posting on X (formerly Twitter):
“I wanna move to Lagos.. I’m tired of being in America.”
In another post, he added:
“Being sad for more than 24 hours is a choice.. life goes on, keep it pushin.”
While Halle Bailey has not publicly responded, the situation continues to stir debate online.
