Popular gospel singer Ebuka Songs has finally broken his silence on his unexpected exit from Moses Bliss’ record label, Spotlite Nation — months after parting ways with the label.
Ebuka, who signed a three-year contract with the label, left after just 11 months, sparking rumors of a fallout between him and his former boss.
Speaking on the Open Up Podcast, the I Will Pray crooner clarified that his decision to leave was not due to any bad blood but rather to focus on his ministry and personal calling.
“I will always be grateful for Moses Bliss’ role in my life because at that time, I had the anointing and gift, but I didn’t know how to go about it professionally. I’m grateful for the journey, but at this point, the next level is to focus on my ministry,” he said.
Ebuka explained that he chose to stay silent about his exit to avoid unnecessary controversies, adding that his decision was solely based on obeying the assignment of God upon his life.
Moses Bliss had earlier confirmed the singer’s departure in December 2024, stating that Ebuka wanted to pursue his career independently.
Despite the split, both artists have maintained a cordial relationship, with Ebuka expressing his gratitude to Moses Bliss for his impact on his music journey.
Fans have praised Ebuka’s maturity in handling the situation, as he continues to win souls through his spirit-filled songs.
