“There Isn’t [Another Movie] Right Now”
It looks like John Wick might finally be resting in peace — for good this time.
Fans hoping for another miraculous comeback from the legendary assassin might need to let go, as Keanu Reeves has confirmed that there are no plans for a John Wick: Chapter 5 — at least not anytime soon.
In a recent interview, Reeves bluntly shut down the rumors, saying:
“Well, you know the character’s dead… He died in John Wick: Chapter 4. I know [it’s] Hollywood… but right now there isn’t.”
Could John Wick Really Be Gone Forever?
The ending of John Wick: Chapter 4 showed the fan-favorite hitman succumbing to his wounds after one final brutal showdown. But given how many times Wick has survived the impossible — being shot, stabbed, run over, and even thrown off buildings — many believed his death was just another fake-out.
However, Reeves seems to be making it clear that this time, John Wick is truly gone.
John Wick’s Return — But Not How You Expect
While a new John Wick sequel might not be happening, fans will still get to see Keanu Reeves back in action in the upcoming spin-off movie Ballerina.
The film stars Ana de Armas as a new assassin out for revenge, with Wick set to make an appearance — though the story is set before the events of Chapter 4.
Speaking about her experience working with Keanu, Armas revealed how much the action star inspired her during training:
“Keanu and I were rehearsing our very difficult stunt scene, and this man is just rolling and throwing me and doing these crazy stunts. And I’m like, I can’t complain anymore… because he’s doing it!”
Is This Really The End?
While Reeves insists there are no current plans for another film, fans know that Hollywood loves a good comeback story. Plus, with the John Wick universe expanding through spin-offs like The Continental and Ballerina, there’s always a chance the Baba Yaga could rise again.
For now, though, Keanu is making one thing clear —
John Wick is dead… until further notice.
