Nigerian street-hop sensation Seyi Vibez has set a new Spotify Nigeria record with his latest EP, Children of Africa, making him one of the hottest stars in the Afrobeats scene right now.
The 4-track project, released on February 21, amassed a staggering 8.66 million streams in its first week, officially becoming the most-streamed EP in Spotify Nigeria history within that time frame. This milestone sees Seyi Vibez surpassing Olamide’s Ikigai EP (7.92 million streams), which previously held the record.
The EP’s blend of soulful melodies, street-inspired storytelling, and spiritual depth has resonated deeply with fans, solidifying Seyi Vibez’s status as a rising force in the Afrobeats scene.
Aside from breaking Spotify records, Children of Africa also climbed to No. 1 on Apple Music Nigeria’s Top Albums Chart within six hours of release — matching Davido’s Timeless as the fastest project to hit the top spot in the country.
Amid the celebration, Seyi Vibez is already teasing new music on social media, sparking speculations of another major project possibly dropping this year. Known for his relentless work ethic, the singer has consistently dropped back-to-back projects, including Thy Kingdom Come and Vibe Till Thy Kingdom Come in 2023.
With his latest achievement, Seyi Vibez continues to prove why he’s one of the most unstoppable voices in Nigerian music.
Congratulations to Seyi Vibez! 🎶🔥
