Arsenal are reportedly gearing up for a major summer spending spree as they look to strengthen their attack with top-quality strikers.
The Gunners have struggled in front of goal recently, failing to score in their last two games despite registering 33 shots. With their Premier League title ambitions still alive, Mikel Arteta’s side is desperate to add firepower upfront.
According to reports, Arsenal have made contact with Victor Osimhen’s camp and are ready to trigger his €75 million release clause. The Nigerian striker has been on fire, scoring 96 goals in 160 gamessince the 2020/21 season, making him one of the hottest properties in Europe.
However, Arsenal face stiff competition from Manchester United and Chelsea for Osimhen’s signature.
If they miss out on Osimhen, Arsenal could turn to Benjamin Sesko, who has scored 10 Bundesliga goals this season for RB Leipzig. The 20-year-old was reportedly close to joining the Gunners last summer before opting to stay in Germany.
With either striker, Arsenal could finally solve their long-standing striker problem and mount a serious title challenge next season.
Do you think Osimhen is the perfect fit for Arsenal?
