DJ Akademiks had plenty to say on Monday, covering everything from Drake to the rumored Joe Budden vs. 50 Cent battle. But when he turned his attention to Meek Mill, things got especially heated.
Ak pulled up Meek’s tweets about tax issues and wasted no time in tearing into him. “He’s one of the dumbest celebrities I’ve ever seen,” Akademiks declared. “It’s not because I dislike him. [Meek’s] one of the dumbest human beings to ever live.”
Akademiks was so convinced of Meek’s lack of intelligence that he challenged him to a spelling bee—with a $10 million prize on the line. “If he beats me, I’ll transfer $10 million to his account,” Ak said. “If I win, he has to pay me $10 million—if he even has that much.”
The longtime feud between Meek Mill and DJ Akademiks dates back to 2017, when Meek accused Ak of not promoting his album. Since then, they’ve exchanged multiple jabs online.
Meek’s recent tax troubles added fuel to Akademiks’ roast. The rapper claimed the IRS demanded $2.8 million for the year 2013, despite him only making $2 million. “I need to see an accountant,” Meek tweeted, sparking discussions about unfair label deals and bad financial management.
Given their history, it’s unlikely this will be the last time Akademiks and Meek clash. But a $10 million spelling bee? That’s a challenge fans would definitely love to see!
