Victor Osimhen has set his sights on finding the net in the highly anticipated Istanbul Derby against Fenerbahçe at Rams Park Stadium on Monday. The Nigerian striker, who has been in red-hot form since joining Galatasaray on loan from Napoli, is brimming with confidence ahead of the clash.
Osimhen, who scored in the 2-2 Europa League draw against AZ Alkmaar, has now racked up 25 goal contributions in 25 games for the Turkish giants. Reflecting on Galatasaray’s recent Super Lig victory, he praised his teammates and the fans, emphasizing their determination to extend their winning streak.
Osimhen: “We Are Ready for Fenerbahçe”
The 25-year-old striker dismissed any nerves ahead of the showdown, stating:
“We are not afraid of Fenerbahçe. We are ready for them; they are a good team as well. It will be a normal match. I will score goals against Fenerbahçe and help bring my team closer to the championship.”
His teammate Mario Lemina, who assisted Osimhen’s latest goal, echoed the confidence in the squad:
“Assisting Osimhen in my first match back was important. We performed well as a team, and we are determined to win the Fenerbahçe derby.”
With the title race heating up, all eyes will be on Osimhen as he looks to deliver on his bold promise and fire Galatasaray closer to Super Lig glory.
