Famous Nigerian music director and cinematographer, ThankGod Omori Smith, popularly known as TG Omori or Boy Director, has made a triumphant comeback to the entertainment scene after a failed kidney transplant.
Omori took to his X page on Tuesday to announce his return, sharing a photo of himself on a music video set with his signature camera in hand. He captioned the post:
“Ok, let’s see if I can still rock this b*h.”
Fans and industry colleagues flooded his comment section with words of encouragement, celebrating his resilience and return to work.
Saga Gist recalls that in August 2024, TG Omori underwent a kidney transplant at St. Nicholas Hospital in Lagos, with his only brother as the donor. Unfortunately, the surgery was unsuccessful. Despite the setback, Omori remained optimistic, assuring his fans from his hospital bed that he would be back in 2025.
Now, true to his word, the visionary director is back, and fans can expect more of his signature cinematic magic in the music industry.
