Controversial comedian Deeone has confessed that he orchestrated the entire drama surrounding Verydarkman (VDM) on The Honest Bunch Podcast, claiming he used Nedu as an unknowing tool to execute his plan.
In an interview with Television Continental (TVC), Deeone said he had been observing VDM for 18 months and wanted to expose him. However, he made a shocking U-turn, admitting that he actually has no real evidence to back up his claims.
“I Planned It All, But Nedu Didn’t Know”
Deeone revealed that he needed a credible platform to make his allegations stick, explaining why he chose the podcast instead of TikTok.
“If I had said this on TikTok, people wouldn’t take me seriously. That’s why I needed a bigger platform.”
However, he insists that Nedu was unaware of the setup, a claim many find hard to believe given the way Nedu asked pointed questions during the episode.
Deeone Regrets Nedu’s Podcast Exit
Following the scandal, Nedu was forced to step down as host of The Honest Bunch, a consequence Deeone now claims he didn’t anticipate.
“I felt bad when I heard Nedu lost his hosting gig. That wasn’t my plan.”
His confession has led to major backlash, with many accusing him of desperation and clout-chasing.
Fans React to Deeone’s Confession:
@officialkholar: “Joblessness dey cause all this wahala.”
@kemioroj: “So after all this noise, no evidence? Mugu spotted.”
@kodak_gram21: “Nigeria is a joke at this point.”
@mosfit20: “You planned it alone, but Nedu asked the questions? Make it make sense.”
@color1_prettyblacky: “Mumu, use this energy to work on yourself.”
While Deeone insists his goal was to expose VDM, many now believe he was simply out for attention—and it has backfired spectacularly.
