Nigerian media personality Chinedu Emmanuel, popularly known as Nedu Wazobia, has officially stepped down from The Honest Bunch Podcast following intense controversy involving social commentator VeryDarkMan.
How It All Started
The drama kicked off when reality TV star DeeOne appeared on The Honest Bunch Podcast and claimed that VeryDarkMan had an interest in men. However, instead of addressing the claim, VeryDarkMan shifted his attention to Nedu, exposing private conversations and making allegations about the women the OAP had supposedly been involved with.
As the controversy gained momentum, Nedu took to Instagram on Friday to announce his exit from the podcast, citing the need to protect his peace of mind, family, and the integrity of the show.

In his emotional farewell message, Nedu expressed gratitude for his journey with The Honest Bunch Podcast but admitted that the scrutiny, antagonism, and accusations had taken a personal toll.
“The past week has brought a lot into perspective for me. Hosting The Honest Bunch Podcasthas been an incredible journey—one built on open conversations, bold perspectives, and the willingness to tackle difficult topics.
“But with that responsibility has come an overwhelming level of scrutiny, antagonism, and unfounded accusations that have now begun to take a personal toll.
“In light of recent events, I have made the difficult decision to step away from the podcast. This is not a decision I take lightly, but one I believe is necessary—for my peace of mind, for my family, and for the integrity of the show itself.”
He emphasized that while he remains committed to fostering meaningful conversations, stepping back was the best way to end the negativity surrounding his name.

Nedu’s departure marks a major shift for the podcast, which was created by Glitch Africa in 2022 and is co-hosted by Husband Material, Deity Cole, and Ezinne.
