Dave Bautista is set to reunite with his Bushwick directors, Cary Murnion and Jonathan Milott, for the upcoming sci-fi thriller Dreadnought.
Penned by Joseph Greenberg, the film follows Max (Bautista), a man struggling to survive in a post-apocalyptic world devastated by an alien species that crash-landed on Earth. The extraterrestrial invasion unleashed a deadly plague, wiping out much of humanity—including Max’s wife. Now, society has adapted to coexisting with the invaders, but Max refuses to accept the terrifying fate awaiting his daughter.
His eldest daughter, Greta, is dying from the disease, and as her condition worsens, an alien Sentinel closes in on their home. This mysterious predator is on a mission to collect her body for an irreversible metamorphosis ritual—an event sanctioned by the government and accepted by society. But Max won’t stand by and let another loved one be taken.
