It’s no secret that the Kardashians are the undisputed royalty of reality TV. Since their debut on Keeping Up With the Kardashians in 2007, the famous family has captivated audiences with their drama, business ventures, and extravagant lifestyles.
After a successful 20-season run on E!, the Kar-Jenners made the switch to Hulu in 2022, securing a massive nine-figure deal for their revamped show, The Kardashians.
From E! to Hulu: A Game-Changing Move
Before moving to Hulu, the family was already raking in nearly $100 million in their last deal with E!. However, Kris Jenner, the ultimate momager, saw an opportunity to elevate their brand by partnering with a streaming giant.
Speaking about the switch, Khloé Kardashian admitted that money was a key factor, but emphasized that it was also about finding the right fit.
“It definitely played a factor because we give so much of our personal lives up for entertainment.”
“But not all money is good money. It has to be a good fit, and Hulu was just the perfect fit for us.”
Dana Walden, Chairperson of Walt Disney Television, confirmed that landing the Kardashians wasn’t cheap, but it was a strategic investment for the network.
“Who would you want more for your unscripted slate than the Kardashians?”
The Business Empire Behind the Cameras
While their Hulu paycheck is staggering, it’s just a fraction of the family’s overall wealth. Each Kardashian-Jenner sister runs highly successful businesses across fashion, beauty, fragrance, wellness, and even alcohol brands.
From Kim Kardashian’s SKIMS to Kylie Jenner’s Kylie Cosmetics and Kendall Jenner’s 818 Tequila, the family has transformed their reality TV fame into billion-dollar empires.
Season 6 of The Kardashians Premieres February 6
Now in its sixth season, The Kardashians is set to return on February 6 on Hulu and Disney+, promising more drama, more business moves, and more insight into the lives of America’s most famous family.
And if history has taught us anything, it’s that the Kardashian-Jenners aren’t going anywhere—they’re just getting started.
