Controversial rapper Speed Darlington has fired back at critics following the sudden split from his lawyer, Stanley Alieke, vowing to continue making music despite his ongoing feud with Burna Boy.

Just a week after his release from police custody, Speed Darlington’s lawyer, Stanley Alieke, publicly announced that he was no longer representing the rapper, adding fuel to the controversy surrounding Darlington’s legal troubles.

“Keep Your Advice to Yourself” – Speed Darlington

In a viral Instagram video, Speed Darlington dismissed those advising him to drop the feud, telling them to “keep their advice to themselves” if they were tired of supporting him.

“I’m on my way to the studio for more music. My life is my content. Let nobody tell me what to post. If you are tired of supporting, you get lost. And let my God guide me.

Support, support—how many of you spend money? I spend my own money, so shut up. Let me do what I want and keep your advice to yourself. I have been there and done that; the fear is not the same.”

Calls Out Burna Boy’s “Hypocrisy”

Taking a direct shot at Burna Boy, Speed Darlington accused the Afrobeats star of being a hypocrite, claiming that Burna hires the police against others while singing about police brutality in Nigeria.

In his video caption, Darlington wrote:

“Always singing about police brutality in Nigeria. Yet he proceeds to hire police to hold me longer. And this is only what you can say? ‘Leave him and move on’?”

Ongoing Beef With Burna Boy

Speed Darlington’s troubles escalated in late 2024 after he was arrested twice for making controversial comments about Burna Boy’s relationship with American rapper Diddy, who has been embroiled in sex scandal allegations.

Despite calls for him to move on, the rapper has made it clear that he will continue speaking his mind, regardless of the consequences.

This saga is far from over.
