Nigerian comic singer Speed Darlington is staying true to his fearless persona, hinting at a new song titled Baby Oil, despite his recent legal troubles. The artist, who has been jailed twice over accusations of defaming fellow musician Burna Boy, shared the poster for the upcoming track, signaling his return to music.

In a post, Speed Darlington recounted an alleged conversation with a police officer while in custody. Speaking partly in Igbo, he revealed that the officer questioned his decision to release another song after his release, allegedly implying it could stir more controversy.

The Igbo portion of his statement translates to:

“A policeman told me that this song hurt you so much. He asked, ‘Why did they release you, only for you to come out and release another song?’ And I replied, ‘Are you mentally okay? Won’t I do music again? I’m an artist.’”

Speed Darlington further declared, “If it sounds like it’s for you, then it’s for you,” adding fuel to the ongoing speculation about the song’s potential target.

The controversy stems from past comments he made about Burna Boy, including insinuations about baby oils found during a raid at Diddy’s house and Burna Boy’s Grammy win. Despite his run-ins with the law, Speed Darlington remains unapologetic, vowing to continue expressing himself through his music.
