Jason Statham is back in action, and this time, he’s bringing some serious firepower with A Working Man, an explosive new thriller that promises edge-of-your-seat intensity. Amazon MGM just dropped the first trailer for the film, formerly known as Levon’s Trade, and it’s already got action fans buzzing.

Directed by David Ayer (Suicide SquadThe Beekeeper), this film reunites Ayer and Statham after their successful collaboration on The Beekeeper, which raked in $152 million worldwide. Add Sylvester Stallone into the mix as co-writer and producer, and you’ve got a power trio ready to deliver a pulse-pounding blockbuster.

Based on Chuck Dixon’s book series Levon’s Trade, the film centers on Levon Cade (Statham), a former black ops soldier who trades his covert missions for a quieter life in construction. But when his boss’s daughter is abducted by human traffickers, Levon unleashes his lethal skills to bring her back. What starts as a personal rescue mission spirals into a web of corruption and danger far larger than he anticipated.

With Stallone, who previously penned Statham’s 2013 hit Homefront, co-writing the screenplay alongside Ayer, the creative synergy behind this project feels electric. The film also brings back Statham’s Expendables co-star Stallone in a behind-the-scenes role, solidifying a partnership that continues to yield action-packed results.

The star-studded cast includes David Harbour (Stranger Things), Michael Peña (Jack Ryan), Jason Flemyng (Snatch), and Noemi Gonzalez (The Valet), adding depth and diversity to this high-stakes adventure.

If the trailer is any indication, A Working Man could be the next big action franchise. Chuck Dixon’s Levon Cade series boasts multiple novels, and the film is already drawing comparisons to the Jack Reacher phenomenon, with Amazon’s description calling Levon “badass” enough to make Jack Reacher “seem like a crossing guard.”

Mark your calendars: A Working Man hits theaters on March 28, 2025. If you’re a fan of Jason Statham, Sylvester Stallone, or just high-octane action, this is one movie you won’t want to miss!
