Ryan Reynolds stepped out in style on Tuesday night (January 7) for the 2025 National Board of Review Gala, marking his first public appearance since his wife, Blake Lively, filed a lawsuit against her It Ends With Us co-star and director, Justin Baldoni.

The 48-year-old actor turned heads at Cipriani 42nd Street in New York City, looking dapper in a gray suit as he took the stage to honor Wicked, which was named the National Board of Review’s Best Movie of 2024. Despite the spotlight being on the film, Ryan’s appearance came under added scrutiny given the recent high-profile legal battle involving his wife.

Lively, 37, has sued Baldoni, 40, along with producers and publicists, accusing them of sexual harassment and orchestrating a smear campaign against her. In response, Baldoni filed his own lawsuit, alleging that Reynolds “aggressively berated” him and accused him of “fat shaming” Lively.

The drama hasn’t gone unnoticed by fans, who are speculating that Ryan may have subtly addressed the tension through a few cleverly placed digs at Baldoni in Deadpool & Wolverine.

While Reynolds maintained his composure and professionalism at the event, the ongoing legal battle has undoubtedly added intrigue to his public appearances. With both lawsuits garnering widespread attention, fans and critics alike are keeping a close eye on the situation.

Stay tuned for updates as the story unfolds.
