Real Madrid forward Vinícius Jr. faces legal action in his native Brazil following his elaborate 25th birthday celebration in July. Rio de Janeiro authorities formally charged the star with “disturbing the peace” after a neighbor complained about excessive noise. The complaint alleges the two-day event, held at a luxury estate, involved loud music and commotion that disrupted the residential area.
The lavish summer bash hosted nearly 500 guests, including teammate Eduardo Camavinga, and featured a spectacular setup with amusement park rides and an exclusive performance by American rapper Travis Scott. Despite the spectacle, the complaint states that military police were called and requested the volume be lowered. However, the noise allegedly resumed at an “extremely high level” shortly after officers departed.
This legal process sees Vinícius Jr. faces legal action in the 9th Special Criminal Court, which handles minor offenses. Under Brazilian law, disturbing the peace is a misdemeanor punishable by a fine or a short jail term of 15 days to three months. While severe punishment remains unlikely, the incident places the 25-year-old under intense media scrutiny back home.
Judicial authorities have set a preliminary hearing for November 6 to address the charges. The current situation marks a rare off-field controversy for the Brazilian international. The complaint emphasizes how the party continued its extreme volume despite a police intervention, highlighting the issue of noise pollution from the massive event. Vinícius Jr. faces legal action as the court proceeds.
