T-Pain is suing Akon’s Konvict Entertainment, claiming the record label owes him nearly $500,000 in unpaid royalties, according to a lawsuit filed in Fulton County Superior Court.
T-Pain alleges Konvict received more than $1.3 million in royalties from a distributor in March for his music sales during the second half of 2025. Under his agreements, T-Pain says he is entitled to 75% of the label’s net royalties from his record sales. He claims Konvict paid him $489,047 in June but still owes him another $489,047. T-Pain alleges the label told him to seek the remaining money from its affiliate, BuVision, but his representatives were unsuccessful.
This is T-Pain’s second lawsuit against Konvict over unpaid royalties. His first, filed in 2018, was settled in 2025, with the label agreeing to pay him $114,000 without admitting liability.
