Borussia Dortmund and Germany defender Mats Hummels tied the knot with his long-term partner Cathy Fischer on Monday in Munich.The
World Cup winner, who has been linked with a transfer to Manchester
United in recent months, was married at the Mandelstrasse registry
office in Berlin.The
26-year-old Hummels was pictured with flashes of Dortmund yellow around
his suit. It is not known if any players were in attendance but his
brother,

Reports in Germany state the couple have been together since Hummels was 19. 

Judging
by the photographs, the couple were not fortunate with the weather as
an array of umbrellas can be seen being held up as they leave the
registry office.

United target Hummels scores tricky header for Dortmund

Hummels
was absent from Germany’s recent internationals against the United
States and Gibraltar to rest a hip problem he had been managing in the
closing stages of the Bundesliga season with Dortmund.

The
centre-back has been linked with a £20million switch to Old Trafford
this summer, as United boss Louis van Gaal seeks to strengthen his
defence.
