Serayah Ends Engagement to Joey Bada$$, Alleges “Repeated Infidelity”

Actress and singer Serayah has announced the end of her engagement to rapper Joey Bada$$, alleging there was “repeated infidelity” throughout their time together, including during some of her most vulnerable moments. In a lengthy Instagram statement shared on August 24, she explained her difficult decision to walk away from the relationship while prioritizing the peace and privacy of the son they share.

“There comes a point in a woman’s life when choosing herself is no longer an option, it becomes necessary,” Serayah wrote. She expressed that she loved deeply and believed in the life they were building, but had to face a painful truth. “Unfortunately, I also had to face a painful truth: there had been repeated infidelity throughout our relationship, including during some of the most vulnerable and meaningful moments of my life,” she wrote. She clarified that she was sharing this not for sympathy or to tear anyone down, but because “too many women are taught to question themselves before they question what is happening right in front of them”.

Offering advice to others, Serayah urged women not to compromise their worth. “Don’t make yourself smaller to keep someone else comfortable,” she wrote. “Don’t compromise your values because you’re afraid of losing the future you imagined… Love should not require you to abandon yourself”.

Serayah confirmed she will not discuss further intimate details out of respect for their son’s upbringing and co-parenting relationship. “I will always respect the fact that we have a beautiful son, and my priority will be protecting his peace, privacy and relationship with both of his parents,” she stated . “This chapter did not end the way I prayed it would. But endings can also be beginnings”.

The pair sparked romance rumors in March 2023 after Serayah appeared in Joey’s “Show Me” music video. They confirmed their relationship in June 2023, welcomed their first child together in June 2025, and announced their engagement two months later. Joey has not yet issued a public response.
