LAGOS – Qatar Airways has announced it will resume flights to Malta from July 2, 2025, operating four weekly services. This move expands the airline’s European network to nearly 50 destinations, offering travelers new opportunities to explore the Mediterranean.
Global Connectivity to Malta
Bookings are now open for passengers from Australia, China, India, Japan, and the Philippines, providing seamless access to Malta’s renowned deep blue waters, rich culture, and historical landmarks. Travelers will transit through Hamad International Airport in Doha, named the World’s Best Airport by Skytrax in 2024, before landing at Malta International Airport.
Malta, home to the UNESCO-listed capital Valletta and the picturesque sister islands of Gozo and Comino, offers a mix of history, culture, and scenic beauty.

With this relaunch, travelers from Malta will gain access to Qatar Airways’ extensive global network, connecting to over 170 destinations, including Australia, which currently enjoys 42 weekly flights from Qatar Airways. Additionally, the airline’s pending partnership with Virgin Australia is set to enhance connectivity further.
