Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s Montecito mansion has seen a major surge in value, with their home doubling in worth since they purchased it in 2020. The Duke and Duchess of Sussex’s lavish 18,671-square-foot estate, originally bought for £11.8 million ($14.7 million), is now valued at £23.8 million ($29.6 million), according to real estate platform Zillow.
Over just the past 30 days, the property has experienced a 6.2% increase in value, and experts predict this upward trend will continue. Meghan’s upcoming Netflix cookery series, With Love, Meghan, along with the expected rise in California’s median home prices—projected to increase by 4.6% in 2025—are likely to drive further appreciation.
Charlie Lankston, executive editor at Realtor.com, shared with Newsweek that while the show wasn’t filmed at their home, the public’s growing curiosity about the couple’s private life will likely boost interest in their property, making it an even more valuable asset.
As the couple’s personal and professional ventures continue to capture attention, their Montecito home remains a significant symbol of their newfound life in California.
