Prince Harry and Meghan Markle aren’t cutting ties with the USA despite their move back across the pond. It has been confirmed that the couple is keeping their Montecito mansion because they plan to return.
Sources familiar with the situation said that there are no plans at all to sell their Montecito home, and reports claiming otherwise are not accurate. They love their home and the Montecito area, as well as the great friend group they’ve built for themselves and their family. One source also reiterated that although the couple might move to the UK for an extended period, they’re still viewing it as a “temporary” relocation.
As we previously reported, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle are taking their two children, Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet, to the UK, just years after shunning their royal duties and moving to California. The children are already enrolled at a school that begins next month . King Charles, who was reportedly informed of the move on Sunday, welcomes the opportunity to be closer to Harry and his family. The King is still undergoing treatment for an undisclosed form of cancer.
One member of the Harry and Meghan clan isn’t making the trip to the UK. Meghan’s mom, Doria Ragland, is staying back in SoCal because she’s not willing to leave her life behind, even temporarily.
Home is where the heart is, and for Meghan and Harry, that sounds like Montecito, even if they’re leaving it behind for a time.
