Chidi, the bodyguard of Nigerian music star Phyno, has issued an unreserved apology to billionaire businessman Zenco following a near-physical altercation during a performance.
The incident occurred over the weekend at the funeral ceremony of Zenco’s late mother. While Phyno performed, Chidi reportedly almost pushed Zenco off the stage in what appeared to be a security move. Phyno, observing the situation, immediately intervened to defuse tensions.
In a public statement, Chidi explained his actions, emphasizing that his primary intention was to protect Phyno and not to disrespect Zenco in any way. He tendered an unqualified apology to the businessman for the misunderstanding.
Chidi’s apology has since been shared widely, with many appreciating his humility and efforts to resolve the matter amicably.
