Patrick Clancy has finally broken his silence. The ex-husband of Lindsay Clancy, who admitted to strangling their three children in 2023, gave his first in-depth interview to 60 Minutes, which aired Sunday. Interviewed by Ross Douthat, Patrick spoke about his grief, his memories of Cora, Dawson, and Callan, and the “baseless conspiracy theories” that flooded social media after his ex-wife’s murder trial ended in a mistrial on September 4.
The Patrick Clancy 60 Minutes interview comes after months of online accusations suggesting he was somehow involved in his children’s deaths. Through his attorneys, Patrick issued a statement condemning a “relentless, escalating and destructive defamation campaign” and warned of legal consequences for those spreading “blatant and baseless falsehoods”. Lindsay’s own defense attorney, Kevin Reddington, also defended Patrick publicly, calling the conspiracy theories “horrific” and saying: “The gut-wrenching horror that is in his voice, no actor in California could imitate that”.
Patrick, who filed for divorce in 2024 and remarried in April 2026, now lives in New York City. In the interview, he revealed he speaks to his deceased children often, asking them for help: “‘Help me’… All the time”. His focus, his attorneys said, remains on “preserving the memory of Cora, Dawson and Callan Clancy and supporting other women facing perinatal mental health challenges”. The case returns to court on September 29, when prosecutors will decide whether to retry Lindsay Clancy.
