Pamela Warner Claims Tenisha Cut Her Off From Granddaughter MacKenzie

The feud between Malcolm-Jamal Warner’s mother and widow has taken another painful turn. In new court documents, Pamela Warner claims Tenisha Warner “terminated” her relationship with her granddaughter, MacKenzie, following Malcolm’s death in July 2025. Pamela said she has no “ill-will” toward Tenisha and is unclear what is driving her actions, but the filing marks a new low in a legal war that has been escalating for months.

The Pamela Warner granddaughter dispute is the latest flashpoint in a bitter battle over the late actor’s estate, which Tenisha has said is worth millions. Pamela previously claimed she offered Tenisha a settlement that would have given the overwhelming majority of Malcolm’s trust and estate to MacKenzie, including a $2 million life insurance policy, a Georgia trust, and a $2.4 million retirement plan left to Tenisha. Pamela said Tenisha refused and took the matter to court instead. Tenisha has pushed back, saying she “refused to capitulate to unfair pressure and tactics” and accusing Pamela of blocking access to a $2.4 million retirement account unless she accepted the proposed deal.

Pamela has since reached a tentative settlement with MacKenzie’s court-appointed guardian, which she is asking a Los Angeles judge to approve . That agreement would provide MacKenzie with the majority remainder of the trust and estate. Tenisha’s lawsuit in Georgia, seeking more than $1.2 million under a premarital agreement, remains ongoing. Pamela has said she remains “focused on protecting” her son’s legacy and the well-being of his daughter.
