“Oasis Is Back, and So Is Guitar Music!” – The K’s Jamie Boyle Praises Rock Revival

The return of Oasis isn’t just shaking stadiums — it’s shaking up the entire music scene, according to The K’s frontman Jamie Boyle. The indie rocker says the legendary band’s reunion has sparked a full-on revival of guitar music, and he’s loving every bit of it.

Speaking to Daily Star’s Wired column, Jamie declared, “The resurgence of bands is really, really strong and prominent at the minute. You can feel it — in ticket sales, in the crowd energy at gigs, and just in the buzz every time we announce something.”

Jamie and his bandmates were among the lucky fans to witness the Oasis reunion tour live in Cardiff and Heaton Park — and they’re not stopping there. They’re heading to Wembley to soak in even more Gallagher greatness.

“It’s impossible to ignore the buzz they’ve created for guitar music,” he said. “Oasis has always been one of the best to ever do it, but what they’ve done now goes beyond nostalgia. They’ve reignited everything — the excitement, the press, and all the focus is back on guitars. It hasn’t felt like this in years.”

Boyle also admits he’s studying the Gallaghers like a true fan and student of the game. “There’s 80,000 people there, and every single one of them can’t take their eyes off them. That’s the dream for every band.”

The timing couldn’t be better for Jamie and The K’s, who are set to drop their new album Pretty On The Internet this Friday (25 July 2025). After narrowly missing the top spot with their debut album I Wonder If the World Knows?, Jamie is confident this one could take them all the way. “I genuinely feel like we can do almost anything now,” he said.

And while he’s all in on the guitar renaissance, Jamie’s musical taste is anything but narrow. From Taylor Swift to Olivia Rodrigo, his playlist is as eclectic as it is surprising.

“I think people would be shocked by what I listen to. It jumps from The Beatles and ’70s punk to Billie Eilish and modern pop. People box themselves into one genre too quickly. If you really listen with an open mind, you’ll find something to love.”

Whether it’s Oasis, The K’s, or Taylor Swift — Jamie Boyle just wants good music to thrive. And thanks to the big Britpop comeback, he believes guitar bands are finally getting their long-overdue moment again.
