Sources close to Lewis Hamilton and Sofia Vergara have revealed that the duo is unlikely to pursue a romantic relationship, despite recent sightings together in New York. The issue? Both reportedly feel that their 12-year age difference might make a romance difficult.
“They got along well, but she thinks the age gap is too big,” an insider told Page Six. “Even he feels she’s looking for something different in a partner.”
Vergara, 52, is navigating life post-divorce from Joe Manganiello, her husband of nine years, while thriving professionally with her role in the Netflix hit Griselda. On the other hand, 40-year-old Hamilton is at a crossroads in his career, recently parting ways with his long-term racing team and considering plans for retirement.
Both stars are currently single. Vergara has been candid about wanting to manifest “health, money, and a boyfriend” in 2025. However, after their New York meetup, where they were seen dining by a window at a restaurant, sources say they agreed a one-on-one date wasn’t worth pursuing.
While Vergara has moved on from her marriage and a prior legal battle with ex Nick Loeb, Hamilton, known for his high-profile relationship with Nicole Scherzinger from 2007 to 2015, appears to be focusing on his future outside of racing.
Fans might have been excited by the potential pairing, but both seem to have ruled out a romance for now, with their differing life stages playing a significant role.
Business Times has reached out to Vergara’s team for comment but has not received a response.
