Kewon White has been found guilty of capital murder in connection with the 2020 killing of Dallas rapper MO3, whose real name was Melvin Noble. The judge sentenced White to life in prison without the possibility of parole.
White is the first of three men to stand trial for the killing. Prosecutors allege that another rapper, Yella Beezy, hired White to commit the murder due to a long-standing feud between the two. According to Dallas police, it was “planned, premeditated, and based on the evidence that we had from the highway and the hospital, the shooter was intent on killing him” . Noble was shot 13 times, and investigators recovered 44 cartridge casings.
The defense argued that the state proved murder but not murder-for-hire. White is currently serving a sentence for an unrelated gun charge . Upcoming trials for Conway and another individual, Brown, are also scheduled. Yella Beezy has pleaded not guilty to capital murder and has denied any involvement in the crime.
