Kelly Osbourne is opening up about the toll grief took on her body following the death of her father, Ozzy Osbourne, revealing that she didn’t realize how thin she had become because she was “in so much pain.”
The former reality star shared her struggle in a new interview with The Sunday Times, published on September 6, 2026. She explained that she was “not trying to lose weight” at the time. “I couldn’t see what other people saw because I was in so much pain. I just saw a broken person,” she said.
At her thinnest, Kelly weighed just 98 pounds after her father’s death on September 23, 2025. She reflected on the period, saying, “I went from having so much control over what I ate to none. I had no control over my father’s illness or his death, so I think the only thing I could control was my food.” The loss also sparked a broader “identity crisis” for the 41-year-old. “I had no idea who I was, I’m not even sure I wanted to be here,” she admitted. She is now in a “much better place,” according to her representative.
