Actress Jada Pinkett Smith is facing a shocking new legal battle following a $3 million lawsuit filed by her husband Will Smith’s longtime friend and former associate, Bilaal Salaam. The complaint, which alleges threats and intimidation, claims Pinkett Smith verbally assaulted Salaam and issued a severe warning to stop discussing her personal life details.
According to the lawsuit, the confrontation occurred on September 25, 2021, during Will Smith’s birthday party. Salaam claims that Pinkett Smith, accompanied by several members of her entourage, approached him in the lobby and threatened that if he continued “telling her personal business,” he would “end up missing or catch a bullet.” He also alleges she demanded he sign a non-disclosure agreement (NDA) “or else.”
The legal filing further claims that a “retaliatory campaign” was launched against Salaam after he refused to help with crisis management following the infamous 2022 Oscars slap. Salaam is seeking $3 million in damages, citing intentional infliction of emotional distress, financial loss, and severe reputational harm caused by the Smiths’ subsequent public denials of his earlier claims about their private life.
The Jada Pinkett Smith Bilaal Salaam Lawsuit places fresh legal and public scrutiny on the famous Hollywood couple. While representatives for the Smiths previously denied Salaaam’s allegations from 2023 as fabricated, they have not yet issued a public response to the latest $3 million lawsuit regarding the alleged threats.
