The Osbourne family has a new little rock star. Jack Osbourne and his wife Aree have welcomed their second child together, a baby girl born on March 5, 2026. In a move that has touched fans worldwide, the couple chose a name that carries immense emotional weight: Ozzy Matilda Osbourne, a direct tribute to Ozzy Osbourne, the Black Sabbath frontman who died at 76 in July 2025.
Jack announced the arrival on Instagram with a simple black-and-white video of the newborn resting peacefully. A small placard beside her revealed the details: birth time 8:49 a.m., length 19 inches, and weight 7 pounds 12 ounces. But it was what lay in the corner of the bassinet that had fans doing a double take, a small plush bat, a knowing wink to the “Prince of Darkness” himself and his infamous 1982 stage incident.
This is Jack’s fifth daughter overall and his second with Aree. He shares three girls, Pearl, 13, Andy, 10, and Minnie, 7, with ex-wife Lisa Stelly, while daughter Maple, now three, completes the growing brood with Aree. The middle name Matilda adds a classic touch, but the first name is pure Osbourne.
The couple had shared the pregnancy news with Ozzy before his passing, making the moment bittersweet. Sharon Osbourne accepted a Lifetime Achievement Award for her late husband at the BRITs recently, lovingly calling him “the most humble egomaniac you could ever meet”. Now, the family has a new little Ozzy to carry forward the name.
