You may want to pack some wildfire or bring along some dragons if you plan on catching Game of Thrones: The Exhibition on its return visit to the TIFF Bell Lightbox.

The exhibit was sold
out on two previous stops to Toronto, at the Lightbox in March 2012 and
the Design Exchange last March. In both cases, thousands of free tickets
were claimed in advance or by fans in rush lines.

“As evidenced by the
over-the-top reaction to last season’s notorious ‘Red Wedding,’ the
record-breaking viewership numbers for pay television in Canada and the
huge turnout for the last two instalments of the exhibition in Toronto, Game of Thrones
fans are a dedicated and passionate lot,” Catherine MacLeod, senior
vice-president of specialty channels for Bell Media, said in a news
release.
The display returns to
the Lightbox May 14 to 18. It will also makes stops at the Pacific
National Exhibition in Vancouver, New York City, Mexico City, Austin,
Texas, Rio de Janeiro, Oslo, Norway, and Belfast.
Besides artifacts from the first three seasons of the Game of Thrones
TV series, the exhibit will feature new items from the fourth season,
which begins Sunday, April 6 on HBO Canada, HBO and Bell Media said in a
news release.
Favourites like the
Iron Throne will be among the nearly 100 items on display, along with
costumes, model dragons and eggs, jewelry, books, letters, maps,
storyboards and lots of weapons.
A new interactive experience is also promised, allowing fans to immerse themselves in the world of Westeros.
Game of Thrones is based on George R.R. Martin’s bestselling A Song of Ice and Fire fantasy novels.
