Former Fox News associate producer Jennifer Eckhart has died at the age of 36, with Florida authorities ruling her death a suicide. According to a representative for the Martin County Medical Examiner’s Office, Eckhart died in Florida, while law enforcement sources confirmed the ruling.
Eckhart became widely known after filing a 2020 lawsuit against former Fox News anchor Ed Henry, accusing him of sexual assault and other misconduct during their time at the network. Henry denied the allegations and maintained that their sexual relationship was consensual. Fox News fired Henry in July 2020 after receiving Eckhart’s complaint and conducting an internal investigation.
Eckhart’s legal battle continued for several years. She settled her claims against Henry in June 2025, shortly before trial, while her claims against Fox News were dismissed by a federal judge. The Second Circuit later upheld the judgment in 2026. Eckhart had continued speaking publicly about her experience and described being “paralyzed by fear” while working at Fox News.
