Drake Cancels Manchester Show Due to ‘Travel Logistics’ — Reschedules for August 5

Drake fans in Manchester were left disappointed after the rapper cancelled his scheduled performance at Co-op Live Arena on Monday, July 28, 2025, citing “unforeseen ferry schedule and travel logistics” as the cause.

The Hotline Bling hitmaker, who had already performed two electrifying shows at the arena on Friday (July 25) and Saturday (July 26), was set to return for another concert as part of his Some Special Shows 4 U tour. However, organisers confirmed on Sunday night that the gig would now be moved to August 5.

Official Statement from Co-op Live:

“Due to unforeseen ferry schedule and travel logistics, tomorrow’s performance in Manchester on July 28th has been rescheduled. The good news is that Drake will now perform in Manchester on Tuesday, August 5th, and it’s set to be an unforgettable night.”

All tickets remain valid for the new date, and fans are encouraged to hold on to them.

What’s Next for Drake?

Drake is still scheduled to take the stage at Co-op Live on August 4, just a day before the rescheduled show. That means Manchester fans will now get back-to-back Drake nights — August 4 and August 5.

New Music with Central Cee

The postponement comes hot on the heels of Drake’s new single with UK rapper Central Cee, titled “Which One”, which debuted last week during Drake’s Iceman livestream filmed around Manchester.

The music video featured Drake being chased by a figure in a Pinocchio mask, interpreted by fans as a nod to the false rumors and public scrutiny that have followed him lately.

This marks their second collaboration, following their 2023 freestyle On the Radar.

Praise for UK Rap Scene

Drake has continued to show love to the UK rap community. While headlining Wireless Festival in London earlier this month, he brought out Central Cee and shouted out the city’s scene:

“Nobody can out-rap London rappers. This is the best, this is the highest level.”

New Solo Album in the Works

Fans can also expect a new solo album soon. Drake teased during his livestream:

“Working on a new album — it’s a slap.”

When asked if it would be a solo project, he confirmed:

“Yeah.”

With a new album brewing, a UK collaboration climbing the charts, and now two back-to-back showslined up in Manchester, Drake’s 2025 is still in full throttle — just with a slight detour.
