The six-time Grammy winner has entered the AI conversation with her signature wit. Dionne Warwick weighed in on influential people, calling artificial intelligence “a wonderful tool that should be embraced” and her response is pure gold.

On April 19, the “Walk On By” singer took to X with a collage of AI-generated images of herself found on Facebook. Her message cut straight to the absurdity of it all.

“Influential people are praising AI as a wonderful tool we should all embrace. On Facebook, I have been to the hospital, the World Cup, cussed out Whoopi Goldberg, and I have a Netflix documentary. Wonderful, sure.”

The Dionne Warwick AI post quickly went viral, with fans applauding her ability to call out the technology’s flaws without a single angry word.

The post sparked a wave of responses from fans who appreciated the singer’s approach.

One X user commented, “The queen Dionne Warwick thumbs down on A.I., unlike some other celebrities who have been ignorantly acting like privileged jack***es promoting A.I. in our faces”.

Another fan joked about her mention of cussing out Whoopi Goldberg, writing, “Ok, but can you curse Whoopi out for real tho? She deserves it”.

Not everyone laughed. One user warned, “Ms Dionne, you need to sue. AI is one of the many tools of the devil” .

The viral post aligns with the singer’s long-held position on artificial intelligence. In 2023 interviews, Warwick made clear she has no interest in using AI to create music, even if it meant duetting with her late cousin Whitney Houston or Michael Jackson.

“No. I wouldn’t,” she said bluntly when asked about AI-generated musical collaborations .

Her latest wonderful tool that should be embraced commentary doesn’t reject technology entirely. It simply points out what happens when it runs wild, turning a music legend into a Netflix documentary subject, a World Cup spectator, and a hospital patient all at once, none of which actually happened.

The post stands as a masterclass in using humor to make a serious point about digital misinformation.
