Dermot Mulroney is officially back on the market. A Los Angeles County Superior Court judge signed off Monday on the actor’s divorce from Prima Apollinaare, ending their 14-year marriage and declaring both parties legally single. The judgment formalizes an agreement first reached in January, closing a chapter that began when Mulroney filed papers last June.
The divorce played out with none of the drama that often accompanies Hollywood separations. Mulroney, 62, filed in June 2025, citing irreconcilable differences. The couple had been married since 2011 and share two minor children, whose names and ages remain private.
Rather than litigate in court, both parties worked with mediators to reach a settlement. By January, they had resolved all major issues: property division, child custody and support, and any spousal support questions.
Monday’s ruling simply stamped the agreement official. The terms remain sealed, filed confidentially with the court .
Sources close to the former couple describe the separation as remarkably amicable. Despite ending their marriage, Mulroney and Apollinaare have maintained a friendly relationship throughout the divorce process .
“They’re still friends,” a source said. The pair have been seen together at family events since the June filing, prioritizing their children’s stability over personal friction.
The friendship reflects a relationship that began quietly. Mulroney and Apollinaare married in 2011 in a private ceremony, largely keeping their family life out of the tabloids even as Mulroney continued his acting career. Apollinaare, a former model and actress, stepped back from the spotlight after their children were born.
Mulroney built his reputation in the 1990s and 2000s as a reliable leading man in romantic dramas. His breakout came in 1997’s My Best Friend’s Wedding, where he played the object of Julia Roberts’ affection. Other notable credits include The Wedding Date, About Schmidt, and Young Guns .
