Coleen Rooney recently appeared on This Morning and shared a funny story about how her son accidentally spilled the beans on her I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here! stint before she headed to the jungle. The former I’m A Celeb runner-up, who narrowly missed out on the crown to McFly’s Danny Jones, opened up about her time in the jungle and how her family reacted to the news.
During the interview, hosts Cat Deeley and Ben Shephard probed into how Coleen kept her participation under wraps until the official announcement. She confessed that she initially kept it a secret, but when media speculation began, she had to clue in her older children. However, it was her younger children who couldn’t keep the secret.
Coleen shared how her 11-year-old son, after overhearing the excitement at home, accidentally revealed to his schoolmates that she was going into the jungle. When asked what he told his friends, her son simply said, “I just said yeah, she is, and I’m not going with her.” Coleen laughed off the moment, joking that ITV wouldn’t be happy about it!
In a sweet moment, she also shared how proud her children were when she returned home, expressing how special it felt to have them genuinely enjoy the experience.
