Renowned streamer Clavicular is claiming he’s owed serious money from his ex-business partners, firing off a legal letter that demands the return of his $400,000 nightclub investment and a 50% cut of profits.
The 20-year-old influencer’s lawyers sent the paperwork to Hai Waknine and Christina Waknine, the operators of Bacara, a Miami nightclub famous for being the first venue where streamers can film content inside. The letter alleges that Clavicular invested $400,000 into the club in exchange for a 50% stake.
According to the legal filing, “Bacara became one of the fastest-growing nightclubs in the Miami market almost overnight” due entirely to Clavicular’s fame and promotional efforts. The streamer, who has millions of followers across social platforms, frequently broadcasted from the venue. Despite the success, his lawyer claims Clavicular “has not been paid a single penny”.
Clavicular alleges that when he attempted to formalize the agreement, his former business partner dismissed the need for written documentation, reportedly telling him, “Handshakes are how men do business” and “You know who we are? What’s a contract?”. The influencer claims all business meetings took place in dark nightclubs and on an apartment balcony.
The situation escalated when the partners allegedly demanded an additional $2 million for Clavicular to obtain the 50% cut he believed he had already secured for his $400,000 investment. The letter argues that Clavicular “built this club. He paid for it. He promoted it. He pioneered the only nightclub in South Florida where anyone could livestream their night”.
Beyond the financial demands, Clavicular’s attorney claims the ex-partners are mismanaging the club, damaging staff morale, driving turnover, and ruining the club’s reputation. The legal letter demands the immediate return of his $400,000, plus the 50% profits he’s owed. It also calls for the removal of his name, image, and likeness from all promotional materials.
The ex-business partners dispute these claims, saying the club was not new and had been operating for years before Clavicular’s involvement. They claim the streamer chose to focus on other projects after getting a new manager.
The partners’ representative stated: “We stood behind him when others wouldn’t. We told people he wasn’t defined by past mistakes and believed he was a smart, business-minded young man with a future. We opened doors for him, made introductions, spoke highly of him, and helped connect him with business opportunities”.
Johnny Donovan, a rep for the ex-business partners, expressed frustration with the legal action: “It’s hard to believe that, after all the help we’ve given this young man, he is now [sending us a legal letter] that we have not even received yet”. The representative added, “You live and learn. At this point, the healthiest and most productive approach is to focus on making sound business decisions and preparing for what lies ahead”.
