Carole Radziwill RHONY Feud Ignites Over Epstein Files

The upcoming season of The Real Housewives of New York City is already delivering fireworks before a single episode airs. Carole Radziwill, returning to the franchise after an eight-year hiatus, has found herself at the center of a heated on-camera confrontation with fellow cast member Sai De Silva. The source of the tension? Radziwill’s name appears in the infamous Epstein Files, and her past friendship with convicted sex trafficker Ghislaine Maxwell.

During filming for season 16, Sai De Silva made it a point to bring up the Epstein Files directly to Radziwill, grilling her about the association on camera. Sources confirm the two clashed repeatedly throughout production, with De Silva expressing that she felt compelled to speak up because she has children. The confrontation became a recurring storyline, with tensions simmering across multiple episodes.

Radziwill was close to Maxwell in the early 2000s, with the friendship spanning about five to six years. Maxwell even photographed the author photo for Radziwill’s 2005 memoir, What Remains: A Memoir of Fate, Friendship and Love. Emails between the two women were included in the recently released Epstein document dump, including one where Maxwell called Radziwill “the most wonderful, the most beautiful, the smartest, the best, the brightest.”

Earlier this year, Radziwill addressed the renewed scrutiny in an interview, explaining how difficult it was to process someone she once knew becoming associated with such unimaginable crimes. “Imagine knowing someone… and then they turn out to be, like, a monster,” she said. Radziwill clarified that she never formally met Jeffrey Epstein, only seeing him once in passing at a party hosted by Maxwell. She noted that Maxwell never spoke to her about Epstein.

The revelation of Maxwell’s crimes came as a shock. Radziwill reflected that if you lined up ten women and asked which would be involved in an international sex trafficking ring, it would not have been Maxwell. The socialite was intelligent and educated, making the betrayal all the more jarring. The friendship ended long before the full scope of Maxwell’s criminal activity became public.

Despite the on-set drama, production sources indicate that RHONY producers were delighted with Radziwill’s performance. Though she was asked to return as a full-time cast member, Radziwill declined the offer, not wanting the obligations that come with a permanent role. Instead, she appears as a “friend of the cast” in every episode of the upcoming season. Producers reportedly felt Radziwill “really delivered” during production.

With confessionals still being filmed, the extent of the feud’s airtime remains to be seen. But one thing is clear: the drama between Radziwill and De Silva is poised to become one of the season’s most talked-about storylines. Audiences will have to tune in to see how much of the explosive confrontation makes the final cut.

Carole Radziwill’s return to RHONY has delivered exactly what producers hoped for, drama, tension, and a storyline that bridges her past with the show’s new era. Whether the Epstein Files confrontation will define her comeback remains to be seen, but it has already cemented season 16 as must-watch television. For Radziwill, the scrutiny is nothing new. The author has weathered public speculation before, and she appears ready to face it once again, this time, with cameras rolling.
