BTS is proving that album cuts have staying power. “Merry Go Round,” a standout track from the group’s fifth studio album ARIRANG, has re-entered the chart at #81 on the Global Spotify chart with 1.83 million streams.

The re-entry comes just days after the group released an exclusive music video for the song on Spotify, reigniting fan interest in the track months after the album’s March release. The song’s return to the chart underscores BTS’s ability to sustain momentum across their catalog.

The re-enters the chart moment is no coincidence. On June 19, BTS dropped a black-and-white music video for “Merry Go Round” exclusively on Spotify, marking the group’s first major video release outside YouTube. The visual, which traps the group in a circular room, uses carousel imagery to explore life’s endless cycles and emotional exhaustion.

The move was strategic. With Billboard no longer counting YouTube views in its chart methodology, streaming platforms have become more critical for chart performance. The exclusive Spotify drop helped boost the song’s streams just as it was regaining traction.

“Merry Go Round” was originally released in March 2026 as the eighth track on ARIRANG, BTS’s post-military comeback album. The song debuted with over 7.27 million first-day streams and entered the Billboard Hot 100 at #52. Its re-entry now adds to the album’s long-running global dominance.

Beyond the streams, the song carries personal weight for fans. The video opens with the words “You Never Walk Alone,” a reference to the group’s 2017 hit, and serves as a reassurance to ARMY that the members are never truly isolated.
