The Ben Affleck Jennifer Lopez mansion saga began in May 2023 when the couple paid all cash for the 12-bedroom, 24-bathroom estate. They poured millions more into renovations. But after filing for divorce in August 2024, the property became a financial headache they couldn’t unload.
The couple listed the home for $68 million in July 2024. No takers. They dropped the price to $52 million. Still nothing. By January 2026, the listing came down entirely.
Then came the twist. Affleck signed a “transfer of property among spouses,” handing Lopez his half of the mansion free and clear. That’s roughly $30 million in equity, plus half the value of those renovations.
Why the sudden generosity? The actor just sold his AI company, InterPositive, to Netflix for a reported $600 million. Cash isn’t exactly tight.
Lopez has continued living in the Beverly Hills mansion while renovating her newly purchased Calabasas home. With full ownership now, she stands to pocket all proceeds whenever the property finally sells. Affleck walks away with nothing from the house and apparently no regrets.
The move effectively severs the last major financial tie between the former couple. For Lopez, it turns a difficult asset into a potentially lucrative solo investment. For Affleck, it’s an expensive but clean break.
