Doja Cat fans—known as #Kittens—have a reason to celebrate! Despite missing out on a 2025 Grammy nomination for her hit album Scarlet, the rap star received great news from the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA): Doja now holds the record for the most multi-Platinum-certified singles by any female rapper in history, surpassing Cardi B’s previous record.
Just a few weeks after tying Nicki Minaj’s record for Platinum hits, Doja saw an update to several of her certifications on November 7. Here’s the latest count:
• 7x Platinum: “Say So”
• 6x Platinum: “Streets”
• 4x Platinum: “Juicy”
• 2x Platinum: “Rules”
With these updated certifications, Doja Cat now boasts a total of 13 multi-Platinum singles, edging past Cardi B, who has 10.
For context, a Platinum certification represents 1 million units sold in the U.S., and Doja’s cumulative single sales now stand at an impressive 55 million units, solidifying her place among the most successful female artists across all genres. The only female rapper to have higher U.S. single sales is Cardi B, who has sold 58 million.
It’s also worth noting that the RIAA counts certifications only for songs in which an artist is the lead performer. So, hits where Doja, Cardi, or Nicki Minaj feature on other artists’ songs aren’t included in their official career totals.
With Scarlet making waves and her latest RIAA milestones, Doja Cat continues to prove she’s a force to be reckoned with in the music industry. Fans are undoubtedly eager to see what new records she’ll break next!
