Nigerian superstar Damini Ogulu, better known as Burna Boy, has once again made waves in the music industry by becoming the first African artist to secure Grammy nominations for six consecutive years! 🌍🎶
Since 2018, the ‘African Giant’ has been a consistent presence at the Grammys, racking up a total of 11 nominations and winning one. This year, his hit song ‘Higher’ is in the running for Best African Music Performance, adding another feather to his already impressive cap.
But Burna Boy isn’t the only Nigerian artist shining bright at the 67th Grammys. Tems, another powerhouse from Nigeria, has bagged three nominations this year, making her the Nigerian artist with the most nominations at this year’s awards. She’s up for Best Global Music Album with ‘Born In The Wild’, Best African Music Performance for ‘Love Me Jeje’, and Best R&B Song with ‘Burning’. With these nods, Tems now boasts a total of eight Grammy nominations.
Stay tuned for the Grammy Awards to see if Burna Boy and Tems will bring home more trophies and continue to make history! 🏆✨
