Veteran Nollywood actor Bimbo Manuel has sparked a conversation about the realities of the Nigerian entertainment industry, claiming that no Nigerian actor can afford a Range Rover solely from acting earnings. In a recent appearance on TVC’s Your View, Manuel addressed the trend of celebrities flaunting luxury cars and mansions online, suggesting that many are leading “fake” lifestyles.
“The actors you see flaunting Range Rovers and mansions in Ikoyi are living fake lives. No actor in Nigeria would say he or she can buy a Range Rover from acting fees alone,” the 66-year-old actor stated.
Manuel shared that he prefers to live a humble and realistic life rather than chasing a luxurious image. His comments have resonated with many fans and industry insiders who have raised questions about financial transparency and the true earnings of actors in Nollywood.
