The funeral for Teardrops singer Liam Payne is anticipated to take place in early November, pending the results of his post-mortem investigation. Payne’s body remains in Argentina for further examination, and it will stay there for the next 10-15 days as authorities continue their investigations, including toxicology tests.

Once these tests are complete, the former One Direction member’s remains will be released to his family for cremation. According to Argentine newspaper Clarin, the funeral is expected to occur next month when his body is returned to the UK.

Initial reports from the Forensic Medical Corps in Buenos Aires revealed that the 31-year-old pop star died from “multiple traumas,” with internal and external bleeding contributing to his immediate death. The Mirror also reported that head injuries alone were fatal, while hemorrhages in his skull, chest, abdomen, and limbs worsened the situation, according to the Public Prosecutor’s Office.

Authorities have taken samples of Payne’s blood and urine to check for any traces of drugs and may also review his medical history to analyze any mental health factors. Payne tragically passed away on October 16 after falling from the balcony of a Buenos Aires hotel room.
