TLC’s T-Boz, whose real name is Tionne Watkins, is “regaining her strength” after being hospitalized due to a sickle cell crisis, her rep confirmed.
T-Boz has been absent from the “It’s Iconic” tour with Salt-N-Pepa and En Vogue while she regains her strength. During a recent show, Chilli asked fans to “hold her down,” while continuing to perform with support from the other artists on the tour. Her rep confirmed her hospitalization, saying she is currently recovering and expressed gratitude for fans who have been singing her parts and keeping her in their prayers.
The 56-year-old was diagnosed with sickle cell disease at age 7 and has spoken publicly about living with the condition throughout her career. She has been open about her health struggles, including suffering a brain aneurysm in 2020.
